Caught Being Awesome

At Kiona-Benton City Middle School, we love recognizing our students for all the ways they make our school a great place to be. We began our Caught Being Awesome program a few years ago at the middle school. Any staff member can nominate any middle school student by filling out and submitting a nomination slip when they “catch” a student being awesome. Then each Friday, Principal Feth or Assistant Principal Kantman will draw names for the nominated students to come get a prize from our school prize box. All students who are nominated receive a certificate and have their photo taken to be displayed at the front of the school. Every month (or sometimes every quarter), we post the students’ photos on our website here and on social media to spread that recognition.
