Attention Class of 2024 - Big FAFSA Changes Are Here!

Changes to the FAFSA will roll out December 2023. Change is not bad: your Financial Aid Outreach Specialist has your back!

What do you need for FAFSA?

If you are a dependent student, you will need information for you and your contributor. Not sure if you’re a dependent student? Consult with your Financial Aid Outreach Specialist.

  • You and your contributors will need an FSA ID to access the FAFSA and sign the form electronically. The FSA ID must be created 3 - 5 days before you plan on completing the FAFSA for verification purposes.
  • Both SSN for applicant and contributor as available
  • Tax information from the prior prior year. So, class of 2024 will need 2022 tax information (federal taxes and W-2s)

Things to Know...

  • WASFA will be available December 2023 rather than October 1st.
  • Creating your WASFA login is your first step in the WASFA application process
  • Creating your FSA ID for your FAFSA is the first step to completing your FAFSA application
  • Keep in mind that completing your FAFSA/ WASFA is free - you should never be asked to pay to complete the form
  • Reapply for financial aid. To be eligible for financial aid, you must file the FAFSA/WASFA each year you’ll be in school
  • Completing your financial aid application is your key to all types of financial aid.
